Stephen O’Neill is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. His career spans frontline care and leadership in behavioral health systems, but his greatest passion remains working directly with clients. Stephen brings a calm, steady presence to therapy, creating a space grounded in trust, dignity, and respect.
Stephen’s approach is whole-person and strengths-based. He draws on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy, adapting his approach to meet the unique needs of each client. In his work with couples, he leans on the Gottman Method to support healthier communication, emotional connection, and conflict resolution.
Whether working through relationship difficulties, managing stress or anger, or healing from past wounds, Stephen’s sessions focus on emotional clarity, personal agency, and steady progress. Clients often describe feeling truly seen, heard, and empowered in their work with him. He honors each person’s resilience and believes every client is capable of growth. Therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented, offering space for reflection, insight, and progress at a pace that feels right.
